HOW TO BURN THAT D*MN .WMA INTO A CD-R 1) Install Windows 95 or Windows 98 in your computer (yes, I KNOW it sucks). After that install Internet Explorer 4.0 or better (Explorer 3.0 won't work!). 2) Go to DGM's site, and download that d*mn .WMA. If you have trouble, you can download it in parts from Miguel Farah's site (at http://www.nn.cl/~miguel/KC/ ). 3) If you have the latest Winamp in your PC, UNINSTALL it. The current version (2.61) forbids converting a copyright-protected WMA to another format. However, Winamp 2.24 lets you do that. 4) Get Winamp 2.24 from Miguel Farah's site (ftp.winamp.com doesn't carry it anymore) and install it. 5) Once installed, start winamp, load the .WMA, and play it. The very first time you play a WMA, winamp will start Internet Explorer and search for a specific URL to get the license required for playback. Be sure you have the correct Explorer version (4.0 or later) and your connection to the Internet works properly. 6) Once everything is in order (i.e., you have that license and you can play the WMA without problems), you're ready for the next step: converting the WMA to a WAV file. 7) In winamp, go to the preferences menu, and select Visualization -> Select plugin... -> Output -> Disk_Writer [OUT_DISK]. Configure it (you'll only have to specify a directory for the target WAV). 8) Play the WMA. Winamp will begin "playing" it, but instead of playing it to audio, it will write the .WAV file in the directory you specified. The resulting file will be approximately 730 megabytes long, so check you have lots of free disk space! It's also recommendable to defragment the disk before proceeding. 9) Once you have the WAV file in your disk, get a CD burner (or a friend who has one (that's what I did)) and burn the file as a CD audio (the CD burner owner should know the specifics on how to do that). [Can anyone fill me on the gory details on this? Thanks.] 10)Once burned the CD-R, get a nice cover from Miguel Farah's site (there are two different ones), print it, cut it with scissors and put it on the jewel case. 11)Once done, ENJOY!
